Cappadocia Red Tour Itinerary
Devrent Valley – Imagination Valley
Your Cappadocia Red Tour begins with a visit to Devrent Valley, also known as Imagination Valley. Unlike many other Cappadocia valleys, Devrent is particularly famous for its naturally sculpted rock formations.
Look closely and you may recognize shapes resembling animals and other figures among the rocks. It is an excellent introduction to the volcanic landscape and erosion that created Cappadocia’s extraordinary scenery.
Paşabağ – Monks Valley
Continue to Paşabağ (Monks Valley), home to some of the most recognizable fairy chimneys in Cappadocia.
Here you can walk among distinctive multi-headed rock formations and learn how hermits and monks once used caves carved into the rocks. Paşabağ is also one of the most photogenic stops on the Red Tour.
Avanos – Pottery Town
Next, travel to Avanos, a historic town situated beside the Kızılırmak, or Red River.
Avanos has been associated with pottery and ceramics for generations. During the visit, you can see traditional pottery-making techniques and learn how local artisans transform clay into Cappadocia’s distinctive ceramics.
Lunch
Take a break and enjoy lunch before continuing the afternoon portion of the tour.

Open Air Museum
